Ideas are everywhere. Delivery is harder.
That gap - between ambition and reality – that’s where we thrive.
We’re a strategic design and collaboration practice specialising in health infrastructure and health-led regeneration.
Based in North-West England, we help NHS, local authority and regeneration leads turn brave ideas into infrastructure that actually works in the real world.
Thoughtful, visionary and meticulously executed
URSULA MARTIN, NHS Trust Leader
The industry keeps making the same mistakes.
Brilliant strategies with shaky delivery confidence. Systems unprepared for their own decisions. Health outcomes treated as box-ticking exercises.
Meanwhile, the power of infrastructure to improve health and communities continues to be underused. We got tired of watching it happen.
So we built Loxie to focus on the part everyone overlooks - bridging the gap between idea and delivery, and helping leaders make better decisions earlier and designing infrastructure that works socially, politically, and practically.
Because we've learned what actually matters.
Good strategy is one thing. Making it stick is another.
We don't disappear and produce reports. We work alongside your teams - with leaders, designers, planners, estates advisors – in the moments where vision hits reality and someone needs to figure out what happens next.
We help you reduce downstream risk, abortive spend, and ‘rework’ by making the right strategic choices before capital or significant resource is committed.
Creativity isn't optional. It's how the best ideas survive. Budgets, politics, system complexity - this is the brief.
The results:
Clarity replaces confusion.
Alignment replaces friction.
Momentum replaces hesitation.
Confidence replaces risk.
All built on solid foundations so communities can thrive in healthier, better-connected spaces.
How engagements usually start.
We usually get involved at moments of pressure or transition - when visions need clarifying, decisions must be made, or support is fragile.
Many engagements start with focused work - typically 4-8 weeks - to build clarity, alignment, and confidence. From there, we stay involved as needed, supporting decision-making, system alignment, and early delivery planning.
Our role flexes as you need it to.
Our story.
Founded in 2023 by Emma Ingham and Christine Winstanley, Loxie emerged from a shared frustration: ambition stayed on pages, strategies gathered dust, and ideas stalled somewhere between approval and action.
Combining decades of NHS and private sector experience, we created a practice where imagination, creative problem-solving, and technical expertise carry equal weight.
One vision. Two perspectives.
Loxie is the intersection of two distinct skill sets: the structural logic to organise a project and the human energy to move it forward.
Emma Ingham - Co-founder
Analytical strategist with a creative edge
Emma finds patterns where others see chaos. With a background that blends the arts with a strong analytical approach, she focuses on the ‘dark matter’ of health infrastructure - invisible opportunities, connections and system complexities that impact programmes big and small.
Christine Winstanley - Co-founder
People-first maverick
Christine is the catalyst for movement. She excels at togetherness-thinking, aligning fragmented stakeholders and building the cross-sector partnerships required to turn bold vision into collective reality.
We look at projects through our four Loxie Lenses, so your projects don’t look like everyone else’s:
Will it actually work?
We test against your budgets, politics, timelines, capacity. (All those real-world constraints that kill good ideas when they're ignored).
What could this become?
We explore possibilities and connections others miss - the health opportunities hiding in land, buildings, systems.
What happens on Monday morning?
We translate strategy into delivery plans with actual milestones, governance, and accountability.
Who needs to move together?
We help you align people and organisations around shared outcomes, the right stories and collective energy.
Your ambition is our blueprint.
We'll challenge you thoughtfully. Support you when it's hard. And stay focused on real, deliverable outcomes.
Because that's our job.
