Welcome to our department of awkward infrastructure questions.
Some problems are too big, too gnarly, or too awkward to fit inside any commercial brief – but way too important to leave alone.
So, the industry quietly steps around them.
What’s Unbuilt? Part creative dismantling crew. Part research lab. Part public knowledge commons.
This is the space we have carved out to expose the broken narratives and systemic blind spots baked into infrastructure long before anyone picks up a pen, let alone lays a brick.
The commitment? We feel so strongly about this that we resource it ourselves. Up to 20% of Loxie’s operational team time, for the next year.
Unbuilt is a strict 12-month pilot, with a maximum of three active programmes.
Two have already begun. The third will be announced later this year.
We publish everything we discover. No gatekeeping.
Why? Because none of this is useful locked in a drawer.
